About Us
For those of you who don't know us, Josie is a local police officer in Detroit Lakes and Matt is retired law enforcement. They both own Johnson Performance, which provides firearms sales and training. When clients started to schedule their purchases around Josie's baking schedule (to get fresh cookies) it was decided to have a Monster Cookie Monday. It was a huge success and the demand for "5-0 Foods" was born.

Utilizing our Minnesota Cottage License products are prepared fresh to order on designated bake dates or special ordered in advance for events such as parties, weddings and other functions.
Josie
Josie is a phenomenal baker, not only dedicated to the quality of ingredients she utilizes, but more importantly the processes in which the finished product is created. Friends have found her recipes extremely hard to reproduce. Josies is constantly experimenting with new products.
Matt
Matt's specialty is food preservation (and washing Josie's baking utensils). Freeze drying allows for fresh products, with a short shelf life or needing refrigeration, to be preserved while maintaining nutritional value. Most of our consumer freeze dried products are packaged for people with busy lifestyles that desire to eat healthy. We also use freeze dried fruits in some of our cookie recipes.
